Doesn't matter what instrument you play, could be guitar, piano, ukulele, hurdy-gurdy - or whatever. Don't play an instrument? No problem, get the computer, or a friend, or me to play your song that you have written. I also teach guitar and ukulele, why not learn to play while you learn to become a songwriter? Two birds, one stone.

I have written and recorded hundreds of songs and have a wealth of experience teaching songwriting skills to all ages and abilities. 

Songwriting requires the application of a broad range of skills, it's a science and an art! The tools that I can teach you - as well as realising the ambition of creating and recording your own song - will also help with turning creative vision into concrete, achievable goals; project/time management; critical thinking; emotional literacy; self empathy; communication; confidence and self esteem, to name but a few. 

There's no right or wrong way to write a song, I can help you find your way by teaching you tried and tested methods of maximising your creativity. Learning songwriting is the perfect way of deepening your connection with yourself, with others and with life in general! All that too deep and intense? No problem, you don't have to take it too seriously, the skill set that is required to create your own songs is enormous fun to play around with in and of itself - it's like building with lego that you can listen to!
